I loved the recipes but the format and grammar are terrible. The recipes are very unique. Some of the measurements seem to be a bit off but it is obvious what it should be. The book if full of recipes, a lot more than what I expected. There are about 5 recipes for tomato pastes and sauces.Great job on the awesome recipes! Terrible job on the format. I still highly this cookbook for the recipes.

Recipes easy to follow. Simple, straight forward, sound delicious and easy to make. I have a number I will try this week.
There are many mistakes in this book. The ingredients are wrong and missing.

I found this download pretty useful. The previous reviewer worried about a translation. Can't be sure what that means. I had no problem reading it in English. Being three quarters Italian, and yet not having an Italian last name, it doesn't bother me that the names aren't Italian. Having a non-Italian name doesn't make me less Italian.
As far as "Simple Italian Cookery" goes I find it a pleasure to read. None of those silly pictures and detail on how things should look after being prepared by detailed instruction. Perhaps it's my advantage of growing up in an Italian household with an immigrant mother from the Abruzzo that helps. Also, I was nurtured on Italian food and culture that lead me to be a chef for the last 35 years.
If there is any fault of this little book at all, it's that it may not appeal to those looking for a coffee table cookbook.
